Shri P.K. Behera, IOFS has taken over the charge of Rifle Factory Ishapore as General Manager with effect from 15.11.2021.
Shri P.K. Behera joined Indian Ordnance Factories in 1990. He has completed his B. Tech. (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering from IIT, Kharagpur in 1987. Thereafter he joined Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL) Trichy and then BHEL, Haridwar in 1987 and continued upto 1990.
He joined Indian Ordnance Factories Service in 1990 and is from 1989 Batch IOFS.
In a career span of more than 3 decades, he has contributed significantly in various capacities in Erstwhile OFB Hqrs., HVF Avadi, Ordnance Factory Bolangir, MSF Ishapore, CF Aruvankadu and Gun & Shell Factory Cossipore.
During his career he has been associated with various Projects and Products in erstwhile OFB such as OH of T-72 Tanks, Medium Calibre Steel Cartridge Cases, Brass and Non-Ferrous Production, 30 mm BMP-II Ammunition Production, BMCS Propellant Production and VSHORADS Project.
He is keen in taking up new innovative R&D Projects in the field of Weapons and Ammunitions.
His hobbies are playing Cricket, Badminton, Swimming and listening to music.
