OFIL KHAMARIA - INTRODUCTION

Ordnance Factories Institute of Learning, Khamaria was established as Regional Training Institute, Khamaria (RTI,KH) on 1st April, 1996 by O.F. Board, Kolkata (Govt. of India, Ministry of Defence Production & Supplies) and subsequently renamed as Ordnance Factories Institute of Learning Khamaria, Jabalpur , for imparting training to and undertaking developmental activities in respect of Group B and C employees employed in 06 regional Ordnance Factories (GCF, VFJ, GIF, OFK, OFKAT, OFIT) and allied establishments in MP region. This institute is also a nodal centre for chemical field for 11 nos. of A & E group of factories situated all over the country (OFBa, OFCh, AFK, HEF, OFBol, CFA, OFIT, OFV, OFK, OFDR and O.F.P.Nalanda).
Apart from the above, induction training for newly recruited chargeman-II (chemist) is also conducted by this institute on ammunition and explosives related subjects such as manufacture of chemicals, explosives, ammunition components, different types of ammunitions and related safety aspects etc.
This institute also conducts programs on various Computer courses for different level of staff in Ord. Fys. The courses on Integrated Management System, Quality Management System, Environment Management System, Total Productive Maintenance as well as on different administrative and management topics are also planned and conducted as per OFBs directives.

LOCATION
OFIL, Khamaria, Jabalpur is located within Ordnance Factory, Khamaria Estate about 10 Kms from Jabalpur Railway Station (WCR) on Mumbai Allahabad route and about 12 Kms from inter state bus stand on Jabalpur Dindori state high way. Taxi, Auto-rickshaw and buses are easily available from railway station or inter state bus stand to reach the institute.

FACULTY
To fulfill the requirements of regional & A.& E. Fys. the different training programs are under taken with the faculty assistance of internal as well as external faculties from sister factories & allied establishments and also from renowned Training Institutes of India especially in the field of R.& D. activities.
