BRIEF INTRODUCTION ABOUT ORDNANCE FACTORY KHAMARIA
Ordnanace factory khamaria (OFK) is a major ammunition production unit under Ordnanace factory Board Kolkata . OFK which is spread over an area of 259 hectare have an EDK(Explosive Depot Khamaria ) of area 303 hectare and an Estate area of 1430 Hectare .
OFK is situated 10 Km East of jabalpur railway station .
Factory was set up in 1943 during world war II as one of the eastern group projects to meet the requirements of ammunition for allied forces
Ordnanace factory khamaria is mainly engaged in the manufacture of ammunition component hardware such as fuze ,shell ,primer and cartridges cases for small and high calibre ammunition Apart from this OFK is also engaged in the explosive filling and assembly of high calibre ammunition and manufacturing of small arm ammunition which caters the need of various allied forces of country .
