PPE testing

As per Ministry of Textile communication dated 2nd June 2020, Ordnance Factory Muradnagar will not accept any PPEs sample for Blood Penetration Resistance Test from Pvt Firms from 4th June to 13th June 2020.

Guidelines for customers:

1. Firm shall submit their request for Blood Penetration Resistance testing for coveralls/fabric alongwith a declaration/Notarised affidavit on minimum 500 Rs. notarized stamp. [format of affidavit]. Firm submitting the Notarized Affidavit with e-Stamp has to mention the e-stamp certificate no. in all the pages of Notarized affidavit, duly countersigned by authorised rep.
2. Firm has to fill all the parameters in the Affidavit very carefully. Any wrong information can lead to rejection of the Affidavit and non acceptance of the sample for testing.
               Special care is desired for:
   1. Source of Fabric - It has to be very specific. It should not mention multiple names or any approved source.
   2. Fabric thickness unit.
   3. Complete details of name and address of the manufacturing unit.
3. Untill such time the lock down is in force, the declaration may be made in a plane paper attested by the Notary Public. In such cases, the Certificate will be issued provisionally valid for one month time. On submission of the Notarized affidavit only, the Certificate will be made valid for six months.
4. Before submitting the sample, Firm shall submit its request with scanned copy of affidavit and proof of payment from its official e-mail to OFM email id:  ofmqc[dot]ofb[at]gov.in .
5. Firm shall submit his sample at OFM alongwith request letter mentioning Ref no. of Sample and Ref no. of lot represented by the sample along with  original affidavit.
6. For Fabric testing submit fabric of size 1m X 1m.
7. For seam/seal testing submit the Coverall itself. Coverall submitted as sample will be destroyed during testing.
8. Firms are requested to specify test method in their request Letter. If same is not mentioned, testing will be done as per ISO 16603 procedure C (class 5).
9. Testing fee:
   
   • 3050 + 18 % GST (for MoD and Army)
   • 3700 + 18 % GST (for other ministries including MHA & private firms)
