INTRODUCTION: The Brake Parachute is used to reduce the landing run of the aircraft. The parachute is stowed directly into a metal container with the parachute connecting riser protruding at the aircraft end. The main parachute is held in position in the removable container by a pair of locking strap & the auxiliary parachute is stowed in a small pack which is attached to one of the straps.
