CONSTITUTION OF OFRC

Ministry of Defence vide F.No.41 (01)2012-D (Estt. /NG) dated 29/04/2016, has approved the proposal for constitution of Ordnance Factory Recruitment Centre (OFRC) at Ambajhari, Nagpur. Based on the above order, OFB issued order No. 039(6)/OFRC/PER/POLICY dated 04-05-2016 regarding the formation of OFRC.

Accordingly, the following operating guidelines for OFRC are furnished for transaction of business of recruitment, presently done by Ordnance Factories, in a centralized manner:

FUNCTIONS

To undertake Direct Recruitment of all Group C and Group B (NG) posts in the organization.
To hold Limited Departmental Competitive Examinations (LDCE) for the post of Chargeman and JWM.
Selection for engagement of Trade Apprentices.
Formulation of Recruitment Plans and Procedures in respect of (I), (II) and (III) above.
Making periodic suggestions regarding review of Recruitment Rules based on issues arising during the process of recruitment.
To perform any other task intrinsically related to the above or as directed by OFB in the matter of recruitment and selection in the organization.

The above recruitment shall be limited to those being done by Ordnance Factories at present and shall not overlap with any other central agencies like UPSC/SSC.
